BG Sports Horses Ltd has been up and running since March 2019, first taking base at Lyne House Farm before a relocation to Fairfields Stables in 2020. The business consists of Beth and her parents Graham and Tina, who all share a passion for horses and the care of them. Beth herself spent multiple years before setting up the business working as a freelancer, where she worked for international show jumpers and olympic event riders. BG Sports Horses specialises in Sales, Holiday and Competition livery services as well as offering Schooling and Full Livery.
Beth George is an ambitious young show jumper, currently jumping up to Foxhunter level. She has her own string of show jumpers, who can be seen on the yard and has also dabbled in dressage, team chasing, showing and hunting. Due to her size and weight, she is able to ride ponies as well as horses. She has began her training as a coach (UKCC) and regularly coaches across Worcestershire and Gloucestershire with great recommendations and visible results. Whilst most people hate it, Beth enjoys her clipping and is fully insured to do so!
We are very fortunate to call Fairfields Stables our home base. Fairfields has been an established yard since 2002, settled in the beautiful countryside on the borders of Gloucestershire/Hereforshire boasting exceptional views over Marcle Ridge, yet only 4 miles off the M50 motorway network. The facilities at Fairfields are second to none including 20 x 60 floodlit arena with mirrors, 30 x 50 arena with full course of show jumps, 200m circular gallop track, 20m fully enclosed lunge pen with floodlights, rubber surfaced turnout pen, wash box with hot water and solarium, good lane and off road hacking, all year turnout, fully kitted kitchen facility, alarmed tack room and a range of different sized stables all rubber matted with automatic drinkers and windows. All of which is available to clients of BG Sports Horses Ltd.
Alongside Beth, Graham and Tina our team would not be complete without Head Girl - Ellie Ironmonger as well as Holly White.
If you've been to the yard, you will of met Ellie who has been a valuable member of the team since July 2019. You will never see Ellie without a smile on her face, she makes sure all our horses receive 5* care, keeps the yard running smoothly, ensures all clients needs are met and the horses are looking smart! Ellie's favourite thing to do is pamper the horses, they always look like they could attend a show at the drop of a hat. This all makes perfect sense as Ellie herself shows and in particular competes in ladies side saddle with her own horse Lowmoor Touchstone. Some of her successes include being placed at Hickstead Royal International, Side Saddle Nationals and numerous county shows.
Holly is our newest recruit joining us in January 2020. Holly herself events and helps us out riding on the yard as well as holding down the fort whilst we are away competing. We are very fortunate to be able to put our trust in Holly to ensure our 5* standards are met even when we are not around. She is proving to be a very valued member of the team!
